Hey Christen,

Your Sumo squats and one legged inverted squats are new routines for me and really result in heavy lactic acid post-workout.  As they say, it's fun to walk around in pain for several days after a good squat workout, but do you recommend glutamine supps or anything?

Sure do!

Bodybuilders can particularly gain from the intake of glutamine. Since bodybuilders use a lot of their glutamine when working out, the immune system relies heavily on this amino acid.

Catabolism or muscle break down can occur if the body robs muscles of glutamine for use elsewhere such as nitrogen transport or maintaining the immune system. Glutamine supplementation is certainly important in keeping muscles building--not deteriorating. For more information on this check out this book I have been reading, Nutrient Timing by John Ivy and Robert Portman, both Ph.D.'s.
